Will the noise scare my dog?
It makes a steady hum, not a sudden snap, so there's no surprise noise halfway through a nail.
The free 7-day starter plan builds up slowly: sniff it switched off, hear it from across the room, then one nail at a time, with treats all the way.
What if I cut into the quick?
Clip only the tip, then grind the rest in short passes, a little at a time. The LED lights show you the nail as you work.

Will it handle my big dog's thick nails?
Usually, yes. That's what the clipper is for: take off most of the length in one squeeze, then smooth the edge with the grinder. Grinding a thick nail down from full length takes much longer.
For giant breeds with very thick nails, the clipper can be too small. Use the grinder in more short passes instead.
Is it hard to use?
It's one tool in one hand. Squeeze the lever to clip, press the button to grind, and pick the small, medium or large opening for the nail.
The battery display shows the charge, and a child lock keeps it from switching on by accident.
What if my dog still won't accept it?
Some dogs need a few weeks, and that's normal. Go back a step whenever your dog seems stressed.

What does it sound like?
A steady hum, not a sudden snap, so there's no surprise noise halfway through a nail. New to grinders? The 7-day starter plan helps your dog get used to the sound one small step at a time.
Which opening should I use?
Small for cats and toy dogs, medium for medium dogs, large for large dogs and thick nails.
Should I clip or grind first?
If the nails are long, clip just the tip first, then smooth with the grinder. If they're already short, skip the clipper and just grind.
Can it hurt my dog?
No nail tool removes the risk completely. Go slowly, take off a little at a time, and stop well before the quick. Keep long paw hair pulled back so it can't catch in the grinder. If you do nick the quick, press styptic powder on it, and call your vet if the bleeding doesn't stop.
How do I know when to charge it?
The battery display shows how much charge is left, so you'll know when to plug it in.
My dog panics at nail time. Will this help?
Start with the 7-day starter plan and go at your dog's pace, with short sessions and lots of treats. Don't hold a scared dog down; if your dog pulls away, go back a step. Some dogs need a few weeks. If the nails are badly overgrown or your dog is very distressed, ask your vet or a groomer for help.
Does it work for cats?
It can. Use the small opening and keep sessions short. If your cat won't sit still for the hum, just use the clipper.
How often should I trim?
Most dogs need a trim every three to four weeks, depending on how active they are. If you can hear nails clicking on the floor, it's time.
Can't I just walk my dog on pavement?
Walks on hard ground wear some dogs' nails down, but rarely evenly, and dewclaws never touch the ground. If you still hear clicking on the floor, the nails need a trim.
